Where to begin?

When and how to launch the blog on a new website that isn't itself launched is an odd decision. But since this website has been created with a focus on my new novel it seems fitting that the first entry should at least relate to that.
Despite the manuscript being completed and submitted a while back, there is nothing that makes it more tangible than the appearance of a cover design. The brief must have been pretty good because Chloe at Troubador nailed it almost on the first attempt. You can see the differences between the initial and final design and they aren't that great.
Of course, I don't think a book isn't a real book until you can smell it and the powers of the internet don't facilitate that right now. So here we are; let the birthing pains begin!
